Dear Robert & Fans–our friends:

Thank you for my birthday gift, “Happy Birthday: Celebrating the Ultimate Marilyn” at the  FOREVER 5th DIMENSION blog. This is another one of your uniquely devised gift projects that make Billy & me feel so special and so appreciated–another example of your creative ideas and hard work! It’s an ideal way for you and our wonderful fans–our friends to say, “I love you!” You all took time out of your incredibly busy schedules to let me know your most favorite performances I’ve recorded over the years. Some of the suggested material was from live performances, captured from TV appearances–truly rare finds. All these combined to make a potential “Ultimate Marilyn” CD. Amazing! Thank you for the deep thought given to these songs.

Billy & I had a great time looking at all of these suggestions. They’re also wonderful ideas for possible additions to our future live shows. Billy has also kept the ideas he received from all of you for his birthday–songs that showcase his ability to sing soulful ballads and up tempo material, giving them the “Billy Davis Jr. treatment.” (Yes, I am a true fan of his gift. I’ve learned so much from him through the years, although no one can make you feel it like he does!)

We’re starting off 2017 with quite a month in January, sending much of our time in Florida (not a bad place to be in the winter!) We’ll be doing some “Up, Up & Away: A Musical Fable” concerts, and then changing pace to a more intimate setting in Palm Beach. We love switching back and forth; it keeps us on our toes!

It’s always a blessing to hear from you, our friends who we’ve known for so many years. We miss seeing you all as often as we used to, but it just makes our visits together now even more special.

Robert, we want to hear about all your latest projects when we talk. And we thank you always for coming up with such new wonderful ideas for us!

We’re wishing all of you a very special holiday season filled with love and opportunities to do what you enjoy most. May God bless all of you from now into the New Year.
